Waiting in line at the US Alaska Boarder

 Back on US soil

Top of the world highway views

 The town of Chicken

The trip from Dawson Creek wasn't to bad. Roads were pretty good. Dawson City has loads of history. Robert Service the poet & Jack London the writer lived hear for short periods, but left an ever lasting mark on the town.  The age old profession of prostitution even left its mark in the gold rush days.
Waiting in line for the ferry
After Dawson city we had to get on the other side of the Yukon river. most of the world uses a bridge, but in Dawson they use ferry's. One rv at a time. There was 18 of us ant 30 minute round trip.
Once on the other side of the river the road is called the Top of the world highway. It has some of the most spectacular views you can imagine. Can't say much for the roads, about 70 miles of dirt, gravel, mud, and pot holes.

 Calgary Stamped Show Band

 At the rodeo

Chuck Wagon races. About half way through the chuck wagon races the sky opened up with a monsoon type rain, the stands cleared out in about 2 minutes. they cancelled the last 4 races. I rained for about 30 minutes then just a drizzle.

Even though it was raining and hard at times the show must go on.  one of the most incredible
stage shows we have seen.  a very patriotic show as well, been that it was the 150th year of the Canadian independence.
